We are a small Committee of unpaid Trustees, including a chair, treasurer and secretary. We have wide-ranging experience from running our own businesses, finance, charity, hospitality, farming, retail and travel. The income from the hirings, as well as funds received from our own fund-raising events, pay for all the operational and running costs of this charity business.
If you are interested in joining the committee, we would love to hear from you.
Chair of Hailey Village Hall Management Committee
I have lived in Hailey pretty much my whole life, moving from Poffley End to Middletown, and I attended the Primary School. I became Chair of the village hall committee in 2018, having been a member for over 20 years.
I am also Chair of the Hailey Gardening Club, organiser of the monthly Charity Coffee Mornings in the village hall and was previously Chair of the Friends of Hailey School.
I worked in Barclays bank for 10 years before becoming a self-employed cake maker, gardener and owner of Dawn’s Shop.
Treasurer and Bookings clerk of Hailey Village Hall Management Committee
I joined the village hall committee in 2018, taking over the role as Treasurer, and in 2023 I also took on the role of Bookings Clerk.
I have lived in Hailey since 2002 (nearly my whole life!) and attended the Primary School.
I am also Treasurer of the Hailey Gardening Club and organiser of the annual village Scarecrow Trail.
Upon leaving school in 2017 I trained to become an accountant, and am now working as an ACCA qualified accountant for a firm in Chipping Norton.
Secretary of Hailey Village Hall Management Committee
I have been a member of the Committee since 2019 and took on the role of Secretary in 2023.
I have lived in Hailey since 1989, first at Delly End and then Poffley End.
My previous roles in the village include Chair of the Hailey Gardening Club, Governor at Hailey CE Primary School, and Parish Councillor.
Professionally, I spent 23 years in the social housing sector, running my own training and consultancy business. I hold an MBA, BA, and Cert Ed.
Trustee
I’ve been a part of the village hall committee for over 10 years. Having lived in Hailey from a very young age I am passionate about keeping the community together with regular events. My wife and I have enjoyed settling down in the village, buying our first home and becoming part of the community as a couple. I work as a self-employed farmer and have farmed sheep, and now cows in the village for around 8 years. In my spare time I also use the village hall to run a Cub pack on Monday nights.
Trustee
I am a relative newcomer to Hailey having moved here in 2022 and am keen to be involved in village life, joining the committee in 2024. Over the years I have worked for a number of charities including Save the Children and Sightsavers in fundraising roles and will bring my experience in fundraising and event organisation to the village.
Trustee
My Family have been in Witney since 1800’s. I was born in Witney, and have lived in Hailey for 30 years. My children attended the village school of which I became Chair of The Friends of Hailey School, Finance Governor and then Chair of the Governors. I had my own Soft Furnishings business for 40 years until I passed it on to my daughter. This is my second time of being on the Management Committee of the Village Hall.
